Hello! Our home is located in beautiful sunny San Diego California.  Until August of 2007 I was working in structural genomics within the Protein Science group at Genomics Institute of Novartis. I have been working in the biotech industry for over seven years as a molecular biologist & biochemist. In August of 07 I left GNF after 4 years to work with a group of a dozen scientists in a start-up company designing Bio-warfare detection kits under contract of SAIC, Northrop Grumman, and Homeland Security.
Chris is also a biochemist at another biotech company in San Diego.
We are very active people! We spend our time snowboarding, fishing, surfing, going to kung fu, riding our motorcycles, and thinking up new adventures for the dogs! How did we get into these wonderful dogs?
About 5 years ago we stumbled upon the Alaskan Klee Kai breed while looking for a small companion dog. The normal wait at that time was about 2 years on most of the waiting lists but we lucked out and got our first Klee Kai within about 6 months. Since that time we have developed a passion for this breed. We have dedicated ourselves to the preservation of the breed standard and to only breed to improve the future generations. We do NOT HAVE A KENNEL, we do not have outside runs. All of our dogs are raised in our home like one of the family. We do have nearly an acre fenced in, but our dogs are never left outside unattended and they sleep in the house.
The passion for this breed is one that will stay with us for the extent of our lifetimes. Once you love a Klee Kai and they become a part of your family, you just can’t imagine being without one….or a few….. ;) Welcome to our family by the sea.
